How do i change it to boot from DVD drive? (Vista)?

I have a Asus F3sv-A1, and i like broke the harddrive. :[

It tells me to insert a os/recovery cd and restart it. But it returns to the same screen because it reads from the harddrive first rather than the optical drive How can i change the settings so that it runs from the CD?

when you start your computer, before your os starts look at your screen for a BIOS prompt (usually F2 or the ';Delete'; key). Once in the bios look for ';Boot Menu'; and set your cdrom as the first boot device directly followed by your hard drive.

When your computer starts, you must go into the BIOS settings (it should say which key to press - usually Delete or F3), and you have to change the boot priority of your devices.

(The BIOS menu is very intuitive, so you won't have many problems there.)
