I installed Style XP to make changes to my desktop, and later found it was changing more than i liked about my computer- to include having to pick which ';version'; of Windows I wanted to load when i turned my computer on. Before uninstalling it, I used Style XP to change my boot screen back, or so i thought. It didn't, and so does anyone know how to change it back manually?Reverting to default boot screen?
If you are seeing more than one choice of OS when booting up your computer and want to manually change this, you will need to modify the boot.ini file.
Be very careful when changing this though as your computer will not start up if you make mistakes.
Check out the Microsoft article below:

try pressing F! button when the system is (checking components) booing. ie: on startup. the screen should say press F! to change setup. Then click on DEFAULT SETTINGS and choose original/default setup.
good luck

How to change the windows xp boot up screen with my own wallpaper?
Talking abt tat damn windows logo in black screen. Pls suggest a way without using a 3rd party software. if there's no such way then suggest the link of desired software. How to change the windows xp boot up screen with my own wallpaper?
unless you're capable of decompiling *.exe files or you're a programmer it's just not going to happen without 3rd party software because the xp boot screen is hard coded into 'ntoskrnl.exe'.
if you mess around with that file and screw it up you've a fair chance of also screwing up windows and needing to reinstall.

How to change the windows Xp screen?
I have just refurbished my Windows XP home to a new look, I am just wondering if it is possible to change the boot up screen from the green slider thing. To something more interesting. And how??How to change the windows Xp screen?
if you follow one of your answerers, you will get ads and viruses put on your computer.. use with care!!How to change the windows Xp screen?
Here's a list of boot screens: http://www.themexp.org/listings.php?type
And you need something like StyleXP to make it work.
control panel then display then backround change it
Many have had success with installing a program called bootskin.exe this is a program that will change it for you. However, look at the forums on stardock.com before you install it. Many people like it but as with me there is a fairly common problem with windows XP users that it crashes windows. I had to format and reinstall windows after I installed it and lost all my files. The answer is don't mess with it because it is a very risky thing to try and change.

Can you/How do you change the boot splash screen in Windows Vista?
When I had Mandrake Linux 8.1, I was able to go in and change the background login screen to just about anything I wanted it to be. This gave me warm fuzzies inside because I had the power to do whatever I wanted. ^_^
I know that it's possible to change this in Windows because it's done at the school that I work at but how do I do this at home? Is there an easy way for me to do it that won't involve crashing my system or somehow invalidating my OS?Can you/How do you change the boot splash screen in Windows Vista?
The only way I have heard about is hacking into a particular .dll system file with a special application
The way I know this is because I came accross lots of forum posts from people who had screwed up their folder settigns, lost icons, mangled desktops.
So - from that - I assume it is quite risky.conceive birth control Changing bed sheets

How can I change bios sequence on hp xp computer?
I have tried booting in bios using F2, F8, F1 and delete key. I get to a screen that shows for safe mode, also has an option for boot logging but still don't see screen to change boot sequence. How can I change bios sequence on hp xp computer?
Try the Esc key. But your best bet would be to watch the screen on bootup. It will tell you which key to press to enter ';setup';.
If you have a ';splash screen'; created by the manufacturer of your computer and you don't see the BIOS screen, post the make and model of your PC and we will try to help you find the right key.
