Laptop LCD issue?

My laptops screen is pitch WHITE, i have a reasonable clue as to what might be causing the problem, could be inverter but thats a guess, to put further insight into the issue, I had turned it on last week and from the cold boot it was pure white, it didnt change colors during the entire boot process, when it came to the logon window the screen resized as most windows based OS do to the default size, nothing changed, the screen stayed white.

To rule out any VGA or graphics going bad i plugged it into an LCD monitor, as barely seen behind it. When used on an external monitor it showed everything, the bootup and log in and so forth, worked out great.

But as you can SEE things arnt so great wih the laptops monitor, whats your opinion of how to fix the problem at hand?Laptop LCD issue?

call sony (i thinks its a sony from the pic) and order a new screen, thire really easy to install, all u gotta do is take apart the bottom of the comp

Note: If u do this it will void ur warrenty and use rubber gloves!!!!!!! cause if ur skin oil gets on the mother board the comp will die!
dude if his lap top had a warranty to void then why would he buy a new screen when he could just send it back and get a new one covered by the warranty??

not sure about the terms on all warranties...
