Pc Log On Screen Boot Problem, Answer Please?

I accidentally installed a program that brought me to a blue screen that next time I should use system restore to bring me back from before installing. But everytime I boot up it only brings me to the windows xp loading screen but doesn't show the login screen and goes back to loading from the boot menu on my asus motherboard to the loading screen again. I further examined this when I pressed F8 and tried to go into safe mode but that didn't help either. So I booted so that wouldn't have it restart when theirs a error and it brought me this screen

If you can see it, the screen states ';STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}

The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000033 (0x00000000 0x0000000)

I haven't made any changes to my system hardware and would like to know what is going on and how I stop this from happening, and be aware that I can't get to any of my windows files or system menu

';how to fix “STOP: c000021a (Fatal System Error)” Error!”

I downloaded a file that had a virus or was malware. The next reboot of the system I got the blue screen error and the system would do an automatic reboot every 3 minutes, but still have the error screen. After reading many many posts and instructions from Microsoft noting worked, until I read Eldon’s post.

“The system has been shut down. After unsuccessfully trying F8, Safe Mode and Last Know Good Configuration I used Ctrl+Shift+Esc to start task manager and on applications tab hit new task and ran system restore (in windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe). Rebooted and everything’s fine.”

Rebooted the system and continued pressing F8 –%26gt; got a screen that allowed for a F1: Boot –%26gt; did the F1 and continued pressing F8 and got the Safe Mode screen –%26gt; selected the Last Know Good Configuration and repeatedly pressed Ctrl+Shift+Esc sequence –%26gt; Windows XP loaded correctly! –%26gt; opened the C drive –%26gt;windows folder –%26gt;system32 folder –%26gt;restore folder –%26gt; and started the rstrui application –%26gt; selected a date prior to the download of the bad files –%26gt; and now the problem is all gone!';

'; think I have a fix, it worked for me on an IBM thinkpad T23 running X

Pro

Things went wrong updating to sp3 and all I could get was c000021a.

This is what I did..

On another computer I downloaded Ubuntu (linux OS) and burned it to

CD then put it in the Thinkpad and booted from CD. This loads Ubuntu an

I can run the OS from the CD, you don't have to install it, its a way o

letting run it without installing it. Once loaded up I can navigat

round it like windows. Next I got a usb memory stick and put on i

these files: Winlogon.exe, Csrss.exe and Msgina.dll from another P

running XP pro SP2. then I transfered the memory stick to the Thinkpa

and replaced the files on there with these, over writing the old ones.

then rebooted after removing the Ubuntu CD and things were (so far) bac

to normal on XP. I turned off auto updates to stop any more attempts t

put SP3 on.

Hope this works for you, I was pulling my hair out!!!!

Please let me know how you get on

Last but not least, you may have a bad hard drive or a bad memory module.

Try MemTest and test one stick (a module) at a time. Download, unpack, burn as an image file (eg. free ImgBurn,

http://www.imgburn.com/

reboot the PC you want to test and boot from the CD (usually press F8 or F11, depends on the board, some must be set in BIOS, consult your manual for 'Boot Sequence order' or ask for further help, with the exact type of your board):

http://memtest.org/download/2.11/memtest…

Let it run for a few hours, watch the field ';Errors';. If any, you probably have a serious problem.

To test a hard drive in a similar way, you have to get the bootable ISO file on a manufacturer's website, SeaTools for Seagate, Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for DOS (CD).

http://support.wdc.com/product/download.…

For WD, run EXTENDED TEST.

If Seagate, run LONG TEST

http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support…
This might be a problem. These are called BSOD (Blue Screen of Death).

If you are unable to boot into the system to remove this application then it maybe impossible to recover your computer unless you reinstall Windows to replace the damaged files.

The error identifies ';The Windows Logon Process system'; as the problem which would be repaired if you have a Windows install disc to repair and replace the files that have been damaged.
Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new software, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info
